To guide us Sunflag has an environmental policy in place. Aligned with our environmental policy over time we have undertaken these steps to reduce impact from our operations on the environment.

• Converted fuel for boiler and heater from polluting Fuel Oil to cleaner Natural Gas.

• Installed waste heat recovery machine to generate chilled water. About 20 % of our chilled water requirement is from this source

• Installed 2.4 MW solar panels to generate power for own consumption.  

 

One of the main issues with polyester is that it is inherently non biodegradable. By adding an additive, it is possible to make polyester biodegradable. Sunflag has been making biodegradable polyester for 3 years and will increase the output of biodegradable polyester with every opportunity
